Counsellor in Nelson, BC — supporting you in coming home to yourself

Integrating counselling, somatic therapy and craniosacral therapy for healing what words alone can’t reach

You’re intelligent and curious, drawn to understanding yourself and your patterns. But insight alone hasn’t been enough to shift them. You can see where you want to be, but you can’t will yourself there.

You’re ready for a different way: not pushing through, but feeling into your experience. You’re ready to let transformation unfold through an innate wisdom greater than your conscious mind.

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Registered Craniosacral Therapist (RCST®), I can help you find that softer, more intuitive way forward.

Body and mind don’t have to be separate appointments

You bring your whole self to each session—your mind, body, heart, and history. This is why I’ve trained in talk therapy, somatic processes, and therapeutic touch: so I can meet you in the way you’re needing in that moment.

My background in philosophy taught me to question what we think we know, to see through the limited view that mind and body are separate, and to rest in presence rather than rush toward doing. My training in Somatic Experiencing® and craniosacral therapy give me tools to practice this deep presence in an embodied way. When we get quiet enough, something wiser than the thinking mind begins to be heard.

Ways to connect

Talk therapy with somatic integration

I offer thoughtful, compassionate and attuned counselling that includes the wisdom of your mind and body. Sessions incorporate Somatic Experiencing®, mindfulness practices, attachment work, and other approaches. Together we will deeply feel and move through emotions, shed patterns that no longer serve, and step into unfamiliar but liberating ways of being. Touch can be part of counselling sessions when helpful; it is always optional, and discussed in advance. Counselling is covered by most extended health plans.

Therapeutic touch work

Gentle therapeutic touch for deep nervous system regulation and sensory awareness. I practice Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST), a form of bodywork that guides you into states of subtle awareness. Informed by Somatic Experiencing®, I often include verbal dialogue in BCST sessions, encouraging us to track unfolding processes together. Especially helpful for those who feel ‘talked out’ in traditional therapy, or want to heal trauma that cannot be accessed with words alone.

What I help with

Whether you're navigating overwhelming emotions, seeking deeper connections, or sensing there's more to life, there is a way forward. I specialize in:

Insurance coverage available for counselling and somatic therapy

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), my counselling services are covered by most extended health benefit plans. Check your coverage for “Registered Clinical Counsellor” or “RCC” to confirm your reimbursement amount.

Please note that craniosacral therapy is a self-pay service not typically covered by insurance. Many clients use their benefits for counselling while choosing to invest in craniosacral sessions as a complement to their healing journey.
